SCIENCE x Wildlife: Management Tools

April 4 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm PDT

The SCIENCEx webinar series brings together scientists and land management experts from across U.S. Forest Service research stations and beyond to explore the latest science and best practices for addressing large natural resource challenges across the country.

These webinars will be primarily management focused, but with applicability for participants from across sectors. SCIENCEx will typically be organized as week-long webinar ‘blitzes’ around salient topics, allowing for deep-dives into subtopics or dynamics within specific geographies.

These are the presentations scheduled on April 4.

  • Adapting to a changing climate: decision-support tools for co-managing wildlife and livestock on federal rangelands in the Northwest, presented by Anna Maher
  • Biodiversity Conservation, Fire Resilience, and Climate Adaptation: Are we kidding ourselves?, presented by Patricia Manley, Kira Hefty, Katherine Zeller, and Nicholas Povak
  • Applying the Resist-Accept-Direct (RAD) management framework to wildlife habitat and connectivity, presented by Katherine Zeller
