SCIENCE x Wildlife: Wildlife in Aquatic Systems

April 5 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm PDT

The SCIENCEx webinar series brings together scientists and land management experts from across U.S. Forest Service research stations and beyond to explore the latest science and best practices for addressing large natural resource challenges across the country.

These webinars will be primarily management focused, but with applicability for participants from across sectors. SCIENCEx will typically be organized as week-long webinar ‘blitzes’ around salient topics, allowing for deep-dives into subtopics or dynamics within specific geographies.

These are the presentations scheduled on April 5.

  • Patterns and threats to biological diversity across the United States: Focusing on land use and climate change, presented by Rebecca Flitcroft
  • Using the best available science to measure climate change vulnerability and inform management of aquatic species, presented by D. Max Smith, Katey Driscoll, Megan Friggens
  • History, habitat, chemistry, climate and catastrophe – ingredients in the recipe for fish production in the Appalachians, presented by Andy Dolloff
