In 2000, the Society of American Foresters celebrated 100 years of professional forestry within the United States. The Washington State Society of American Foresters asked its members to share memories of what things have been like for foresters in our own “olden days.” Stephen Ricketts, the Centennial Liaison for Washington State SAF, and his wife, Gloria W. Ricketts, edited the memories and turned them into Memorable Forestry Experiences A Centennial Project – 2000.
