Are you a student who is presenting a poster or talk at the joint OSAF-ORTWS meeting this February?
We want to let you know you are in the running for an award!
All students are automatically in the running for a presentation award based on category:
Best Graduate Poster Award
Best Undergraduate Poster Award
Les Eberhardt Student Presentation Award (oral talk)
Dimick Professional Presentation Award (best overall oral talk, student or professional)
This means you will be judged by 2-3 judges during the conference. For oral talks, you will not know who the judges are, but you will have the option of receiving the judges’ notes and comments, if you desire. For poster presentations the team of judges will come around sometime during the poster session, identify themselves, and ask for you to give a short (2-minute or less) explanation of your poster. Oral talks are judged on the following categories: Background/Introduction, Data Presentation & Interpretation, Discussion & Conclusions, Presentation: Organization and Presentation: Communication. Posters are judged on these categories: Background, Data Presentation & Interpretation, Poster Quality, Oral Presentation and Impact on audience.
We are excited to have high student involvement in this year’s annual meeting and look forward to seeing you in February. Please reach out tojacob.putney@oregonstate.edu or VanessaSchroeder@ortws.org if you have any questions or concerns.
