Hopkins Community Forest Day

Hopkins invites you to Community Forest Day and a lunch in the woods. Join us for the voluntary WORK DAY at Hopkins Demonstration Forest 16750 South Brockway Road, Oregon City. http://www.demonstrationforest.org.

(February 12th) Reforestation Workshop, Milling, and Volunteer Host Program Review The morning will start with a reformation workshop hosted by Glen Ahrens followed by planting some larger western red cedar in the ice storm damaged riparian areas. For those unable to plant or prefer not to, we will be milling western red cedar. It is a western red cedar double-header! At lunch we will have a short overview and discussion to introduce the new Volunteer Forest Host Program too.

Lunch is provided @ NOON

 At 12:30… a…wait for it… Cedar Plank Smoked Salmon Chowder lunch will be served in the Poppino Family Pavilion or Hopkins Hall along with a vegan soup to complete a triple-header of cedar for the day!
