2022 Northwest Innovative Forestry Summit

April 7, 2022 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm PDT

The Pacific Northwest region benefits from a long, deep, and often underappreciated history of experimentation and innovation in its forest sector. Current challenges call us to better understand both current and past examples of forestry innovation, and to chart a course for improving sustainable forest management through partnerships and problem solving.

The Summit is a venue for regional learning, exchange and ongoing cooperation to advance and celebrate innovation in all aspects of forestry and forest-related work in our region.

After a successful debut as a virtual summit in 2021, Northwest Innovative Forestry Summit is returning in 2022. Originally, this event was to take place in-person at the end of March, at the University of Washington’s Pack Forest in Eatonville. However, after receiving feedback about Covid-19 concerns from members of the forestry community, we have decided to postpone the in-person portion of the event to fall 2022. More details about the in-person event at Pack Forest will be available here in summer 2022.

In April 2022 we will launch a month-long series of virtual sessions that will act as a precursor to the in-person Summit at Pack Forest in the fall. These events will be a mix of presentation and discussion and will act as a precursor for the Fall 2022 in-person summit program. Find more details about the virtual event series below.
