SCIENCExPlanning for Forests of the Future – Resources Planning Act Assessment: Land Resources and Outdoor Recreation

May 18, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm PDT

The Forest Service Research and Development SCIENCEx webinar series unites scientists and land management experts from across the US Forest Service and beyond.

Collectively, the Resources Planning Act Assessment and the National Report on Sustainable Forests are foundational to our national understanding of past, current, and future forest and rangeland conditions in the U.S. and contribute to multinational efforts to measure and monitor forest sustainability.

These reports provide foundational science to everything from National Forest planning efforts and State Forest Action plans to international collaborations. Tune in for an hour per day, where we’ll provide an overview of the trends shaping natural resources in our lifetimes, explore implications for many resource categories, and learn about international efforts to sustain forests worldwide. CEUs are available!

Time and Day: Thursday, May 18, 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. EST
