The Department of Natural Resource’s Urban and Community Forestry Program will be hosting an Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) Trap Tree Workshop on September 17th 2024 from 9am-11am in Vancouver, Washington. This workshop will cover the basics of EAB as an emerging pest of concern, an overview of how and why to create trap trees as a monitoring strategy, along with a hands-on trap tree creation demonstration. This workshop will be held outdoors so please dress accordingly.
The meeting location is the corner of Beaver Marsh Trailhead near 3915 NE 98th Ave, Vancouver, WA. There is limited street parking so please arrive early and be considerate of local residents.
