Come along on an exciting forest field tour of three moist forests sites on BLM O&C and CTCLUSI lands northwest of Eugene, Oregon, where innovative dendrochronological (i.e. tree ring) studies — are revealing new research insights on fire histories, forest conditions and Indigenous forest stewardship dating back hundreds of years.
Date and Time: May 20, 2025; 9:30 am – 4:00 pm
Location: The Field Tour will start in the parking lot of the Hult Dam & Reservoir (A.K.A Hult Log Storage Reservoir, Blachly, OR 97412) and proceed to three research sites on BLM O&C Lands and CTCLUSI lands northwest of Eugene. The ~20-mile tour route will travel through the Alsea River Valley, Prairie Ridge and Lobster Valley.
