Join us at the Bird Alliance of Oregon Wildlife Sanctuary for the Forestry for the Birds: Western Oregon Workshop. This event will gather landowners, land managers, and bird enthusiasts to explore practical ways to enhance bird habitat in Oregon’s forests.
Joe Liebezeit, expert birder from Bird Alliance of Oregon, and Jake Barker, OSU Extension Forester, will guide discussions on bird-friendly forest management. We will walk through the Forestry for the Birds Western Oregon Guide (included with the $5 registration fee), applying its principles to the sanctuary’s landscape.
This workshop is designed for a range of participants, including landowners, HOA and community managers, park stewards, foresters, and natural resource professionals. Key topics will include:
No prior experience in birding or forestry is needed. Bring your curiosity, a willingness to share, and binoculars if you have them.
Coffee and pastries will be provided for early arrivals. We look forward to seeing you in May.
