Learn about some of the services offered by the WSDA’s Technical Services and Education Program (TSEP). This program has many great offerings that include pesticide waste disposal, private applicator training (in Spanish), Worker Protection Safety (WPS) training for trainers, WPS pesticide handler training, air blast sprayer calibration and configuration, educational pesticide videos, and more. These programs will be overviewed so that pesticide handlers know how to best access the offerings of this program.

Invasion Biology: Understanding Outbreaks in Forest Systems

Reviewing the fundamentals that explain why pest, pathogen, and weed outbreaks happen in a forest system for both non-native and native organisms. Focus on the big picture to help you understand what is happening in your forest! This talk will cover a variety of local pests and pathogens including but not limited to: white pine blister rust, flatheaded fir borer, Swiss needle cast, larch needle cast/blight, balsam woolly adelgid, and the emerald ash borer.
