Post-fire landscapes: What can they tell us?

Join us February 7-8, 2023 at the LaSells Stewart Center, OSU, Corvallis, OR

Symposium Goals:

  • To provide an opportunity for scientists to share what they are learning or hoping to learn from recent westside Oregon fires.
  • To provide an opportunity for practitioners and policy makers to begin discussions on how new discoveries can inform future decisions.
  • To promote collaboration between institutions and agencies involved in post-fire research and monitoring.

Outcome:
A shared understanding of on-going research and monitoring, which can be used to identify opportunities for collaboration, gaps in knowledge, and new approaches to management.

Target Audience:
Natural resource professionals, science providers, policy makers, and others interested in this topic.

Cost: FREE! A meeting management package will be signed by the Regional Forester to support attendance of US Forest Service employees.

To present a poster or talk at the symposium, submit your abstract using this form by November 30, 2022.

Final agenda decisions will be made by December 15th, 2022.

***All talks and posters will be presented in-person at the Symposium.***
