The Northern Research Station has developed a suite of decision-support tools over the years that support research and land management. From land cover change to invasive species presence, these tools can facilitate land management decisions by understanding the current state of forests and suggesting future scenarios.
This webinar series will introduce six decision-support tools developed or modified by researchers at the Northern Research Station and showcase examples in which they can be used in research and land management.
Webinars will take place in March and April 2024.
Description: STEW-MAP, or the Stewardship Mapping project, is an interactive mapping tool that identifies stewardship groups, the geographic areas they serve, and the social networks that connect them. Presenters will discuss the development of STEW-MAP, and how it was used to inform recreation planning on the Mark Twain National Forest and in the St. Louis urban center.
Each webinar has been approved for 1 CFE credit through the Society of American Foresters and The Wildlife Society.
