Learn the nuts and bolts of thinning your trees
Thinning is one of the most important stewardship tools available to property owners. Managing density through thinning is critical to achieve many objectives, including forest health, climate resilience, wildlife and biodiversity, wood production, aesthetics, and development of old growth. The devil is in the details, though. Thinning at the right time, removing the right trees, and using the right professionals make all the difference between meeting your objectives and making a disaster of your property.

What to Expect
Format
We will have several presentations in the morning, a short lunch break, and then additional presentation and panel discussion time before we head out on a field trip to look at some nearby forests.
Cost and Registration
Pre-registration is required. Registration will NOT be available on site. Space is limited and is first come, first served. The registration deadline is 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2024. Cancellation requests must be received by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2024, to be eligible for a refund. Eventbrite processing fees are non-refundable.
