The forests of the Pacific Northwest provide more than timber. Our forests store carbon, provide ecosystem benefits, enhance community resilience and environmental justice. Innovations in forest management and policy are a unique opportunity to mitigate climate change and to ensure healthy community and forests for the future.
The Carbon Friendly Forestry Conference is our signature annual event focused on advances in forestry and ecological forest management that improve outcomes and mitigate the impacts of climate change in Washington and across the planet. Please join us.
Tickets:
Business and Industry Representatives: $150
Nonprofit, Public Sector, and Tribal Government or Employees: $75
Students and Community Members: $35
Throughout the day, we will encourage thinking about forest management beyond board feet, recognizing the complexity of forest ecosystems and of the multitude of benefits healthy forests provide. The conference will feature presentations, panel discussions, and opportunities to connect with presenters and attendees alike. Historically, our in-person conference has sold out quickly.
Overarching themes this year include:
We are committed to keeping our event financially accessible. The registration fee reflects the increased cost of an in-person event and supports our speakers with a small honorarium. Registration includes breakfast, lunch, and snacks throughout the day. We acknowledge that not everyone is able to purchase a ticket and we will offer a limited number of complimentary tickets. If this applies to you, please email: bryan@waconservationaction.org.
