Join us for WFE 2023 in downtown Portland, Oregon at OSU’s Portland Center on Thursday, September 28^th and Friday, September 29^th, 2023.

WFE 2023 was planned as a concurrent gathering to the annual Who Will Own the Forest? conference hosted at the World Forestry Center September 26-28^th.

WFE’s annual meeting attracts economists from government agencies, private industry, and universities. Scholars and professionals come together to share research and discuss topics related to forests and natural resources in the West and to network with likeminded colleagues. We particularly welcome and encourage students to present in our friendly environment. Please see a draft agenda here.

Attendees are responsible for securing their own lodging in Portland.

Register now open! Please register online at Western Forestry and Conservation Association by August 11^th for the best rate: $275 standard registration, $150 for students.

• Standard rate increases to $300 after August 14^th  
• Thursday only (9/28) only is $150; Friday only (9/29) is $200 for standard registration; student fee is the same regardless of attendance date.

• WFE 2023 will be a hybrid meeting, with a virtual attendance option.
