As its name suggests, agroforestry represents the intersection of agriculture and forestry, and is implemented through five practices: alley cropping, forest farming, riparian forest buffers, silvopasture, and windbreaks. How these five practices are implemented on the landscape are as diverse as the landowners. In this issue, the authors highlight the agroforestry efforts underway in the Pacific Northwest and the organizations that are supporting more widespread adoption.
