Growing Leaders
Forestry and natural resource managers, technicians, consultants, and students are invited to participate in the 2022 PNW SAF Leadership Conference “Growing Leaders.” This virtual conference is scheduled for November 1-2, 2022, and will take place over two half days.
The conference will feature three 90-minute Leadership Nature Leadership Academy modules on trust, communication, and teamwork and conflict; these module topics were selected through a membership survey that was conducted earlier this year. The modules will include downloadable handouts, exercises, and interactive features. Complementing the modules will be guest speakers.
Funding for the 2022 PNW SAF Leadership Conference was provided by the Foresters’ Fund.
Confirmed guest speakers include:
- Sam Cook, vice president of SAF
- Jason Spadaro, executive director of Washington Forest Protection Association;
- Lisa Gonzales-Kramer, director of program management, reforestation with DroneSeed;
- Lisa Northrop, Associate Deputy Chief, US Forest Service; and
- Chris Maisch, CF, president of SAF.
